This permanent online exhibit is part of the Family Papers Project, Sophia Smith Collection that is funded by the Bodman Family Foundation. The site features four families - Bodmans, Dunhams, Garrisons, and Hales. View representative images and documents that give a "window into evolving social conditions, on-going economic charge, new political trends and cultural shifts over time."

Smith American Studies Program

This colorful site used scans of works of art from the Smith College Art Museum to add visual interest. Verifying copyright ownership and permission was necessary .

Creating a unique look for this department while adhere to the web site standards for Smith College was an absolute necessity.

Establishing a menu system that blended with the images was critical to the visual effect.

Sophia Smith Collection

The oldest U.S. collection of women's history manuscripts and archives. The latest additions to this site are the Agents of Social Change Online Exhibit and the companion Agents of Social Change Lesson Plans web site, a Curriculum Resource and Primary Documents site for teachers and researchers.

Office of the Provost/Dean of the Faculty of Smith College

A large text-heavy site providing information to the faculty of Smith College. Interior pages have original black and white computer drawings of on campus buildings. This site also required areas to have restricted access for committee members only. An extensive site map was required to help the faculty and other visitors find information quickly

The online version of the Smith College Course Catalogue is a continuing project, and it went live for the Fall 2000 semester with many options for searching the catalogue.

Jacobson Center for Writing, Teaching and Learning

Providing information for students and teachers, the Jacobson Center at Smith College site required clear navigation and ease of reading. The web site offers information on writing services and tutoring as well as a series of useful guidelines for writing. Logo design from an existing sculpture, and coming up with a distinctive look, were the challenges of this site.
