Web Site Maintenance
Now that you have invested time and money in a web site, protect your investment!

Maintain your web site!

Broken links, dead pages, missing images, and out of date information are deadly.

  • Make web site maintenance a priority

  • Allocate funds in the budget to keep the site maintained

  • If another individual within your organization is monitoring the site, ask for a periodic report

  • Have the site checked on a regularly scheduled basis

  • Be sure to check every page
(Clear your web browser cache and delete your temporary web files before you start the check.)

  • Check the site on different computers
(Different size monitors and monitor resolutions)
(Do not forget to check the site on a laptop)

  • Click on all internal and external links
(Make sure the link is pointing to the correct address)

  • Read each page carefully

  • Look for out of date material

  • Fill out and submit all forms
(Be sure to check that the e-mail was actually received)

  • Keep thinking about how you can improve your web site
